Assistant Engineering ("We") is now accepting applications ("Applications") for customized versions of OpenAI's GPT models. Out of these Applications, we will select three applications ("Selections") and design a custom GPT for each of the three, free of charge. Our selection will be based on our evaluation of each project's requirements, impact, and fit with our expertise and resources. The 'Entrant' is the person, company or organisation that properly submits an Application. In the case of individuals, all Entrants must be eighteen years of age or older to be eligible to participate.
Being selected as one of the chosen projects is not transferable.
Being selected can be revoked by Assistant Engineering at our sole discretion. We may select another application instead.
No payment of any kind is necessary to participate in this selection process.
Assistant Engineering reserves the right to offer development services for any of the unselected applications at a cost.
If notified, the chosen organization with a selected application must fill out, sign, and return a provided winner release form to Assistant Engineering within 5 business days. Failure to do so may result in disqualification, and we may select another application instead.
After selection, winners must work closely with Assistant Engineering on designing their project's scope and plan for the GPT creation. This collaboration may involve supplying specific data, granting access to APIs, or other necessary tech tools for the GPT design. Not fulfilling these requirements could lead to disqualification, allowing us to choose a different application.
By joining this selection process:
• You accept that Assistant Engineering won't be held accountable for any entry issues, technical problems, or damage related to participation.
• You agree to let Assistant Engineering use your personal info for everything related to designing the GPT, like managing entries, picking winners, and promotional activities.
• You agree to permit Assistant Engineering to use your name, business organisation, and a summary of your application for promotional uses, including posting winners on our website and potentially on social media platforms like LinkedIn.
Assistant Engineering may end, change, or pause the selection process if cheating, tech issues, or anything else beyond our control affects its fairness or integrity.
We can also disqualify anyone breaking the rules or harming the selection process's operation and remove entries that infringe on rights.
We may update these terms and conditions from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new terms and conditions on this page.
During the Challenge, we may receive proprietary, confidential, or sensitive information from Entrants. Entrants must explicitly mark any information they wish to be treated as confidential. Information not marked as confidential will not be subject to confidentiality obligations.
We acknowledge the confidential nature of explicitly marked information and commit to maintaining its confidentiality. We agree not to disclose, disseminate, or use any explicitly confidential information for purposes outside the scope of this Challenge, both during and after its completion, without the express written consent of the Entrant. This confidentiality obligation will continue for two years following the end of the Challenge.
Exceptions to this obligation include information that is already publicly known, becomes publicly known through no fault of ours, or is required to be disclosed by law or valid court order. Both parties agree to take reasonable steps to protect the confidentiality of such information and prevent unauthorized use or disclosure.
The methodologies, strategies, concepts, and expertise in AI systems and business operations conveyed by us during the Challenge are our intellectual property. These contributions, along with any general knowledge, experience, skills, and ideas developed during the Challenge (collectively referred to as 'residual knowledge'), are not exclusive to any Entrant and do not fall under the confidentiality obligations. This residual knowledge, retained in our unaided memory, is not subject to these confidentiality restrictions.
Furthermore, we may aggregate and use general insights gained from reviewing all applications for our own intellectual property purposes. These insights, derived from the collective review process, will be considered our intellectual property.
Entrants are advised to avoid submitting confidential information where possible. Explicitly marking information as confidential is the Entrant's responsibility, and we will respect the confidentiality of such information in accordance with these terms.
Assistant Engineering is committed to ensuring the security of all applications submitted during the Custom GPT Challenge. We employ industry-standard measures and protocols to protect the information received from Entrants against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
While we strive to secure the information provided to us, Entrants acknowledge that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. Therefore, while we aim to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Entrants are responsible for safeguarding the confidentiality of their application details and any credentials related to the Challenge. They should be cautious about sharing sensitive information and consider the security implications of any data they choose to disclose.
In the event of a security breach that may affect the integrity of Entrant information, Assistant Engineering will take appropriate steps to investigate the situation and, where necessary, notify affected Entrants of the breach and take required actions to restore the security of the information.
We encourage Entrants to regularly review our security practices and updates, which will be made available on the Challenge website. By participating in the Challenge, Entrants agree to adhere to these security terms and to act responsibly in the handling of any data or information related to the Challenge.
By entering this promotion you expressly consent to Assistant Engineering's collection, processing, and use of your personal information that you provide in connection with this promotion (including, but not limited to, disclosure of your name and state of residence on a winners list and making such list available to the public) and under the terms of Assistant Engineering's privacy policy, which can be accessed at https://assistant.engineering/privacy
Entrants acknowledge that the custom GPTs built for this challenge will utilise generative AI. Entrants acknowledge that such Generative AI will not always be 100% accurate by the very nature of the technology. Entrants acknowledge that they have read and understood our Generative AI Notice (https://assistant.engineering/gen-ai-statement), which is hereby incorporated by reference.
By participating in the Challenge, Entrants acknowledge and agree that the Challenge is also governed by Assistant Engineering's General Terms and Conditions (https://assistant.engineering/terms), which are hereby incorporated by reference. Please ensure you have read and understood these documents as they provide important information about your rights and obligations in connection with your participation in the Challenge.
These Official Rules are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom without giving effect to its conflicts of law rules.
